Is Kairo really free?
Yes. No ads, no subscriptions, no in-app purchases. It has no servers to pay for.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign-up of any kind.
Does Kairo use AI or send my data anywhere?
No. Kairo has no internet permission, so it physically can't. Every insight is computed on your phone.
My session notification came late.
Some phones delay notifications to save battery. Set Kairo's battery usage to No restrictions. The session itself always ends at the exact second.
I forgot my backup password.
It can't be recovered: that's what keeps backups private. Your data on the phone is fine; set a new password and make a fresh backup.
How do I move to a new phone?
Vault → Share a backup file → save it to Drive or send it to the new phone. Install Kairo there and choose Restore with the same password.
Why does a pattern say 'Not enough data'?
Kairo only shows a number once it can be true. Each pattern says what it needs, for example 5 sessions.
How do I delete all my data?
Uninstall Kairo or clear its storage in Android settings. Nothing exists anywhere else, unless you made backups yourself.
Which Android versions work?
Android 7.0 (2016) through Android 16.
Reporting a bug
Please include your phone model, Android version, Kairo version (You → bottom of the page) and what you did just before it happened. Kairo has no crash reporting, so your email is how bugs get found.
